We had another great mystery reader for the Easter season. They read The Night Before Easter by Natasha Wing. It is a delightful story about two kids getting ready for bed the night before Easter with dreams of the Easter Bunny visiting. The students were very engaged and all had questions for our readers after they read the book. Our readers ended our day with Easter treats. What fun! Our slideshow below has pictures from Read Across America Day, where we read The History of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and then we played Extreme Rock, Paper, Scissors. We read Red Fish, Blue Fish and made graphs using goldfish crackers. We read to our reading buddies, the PreK 4 class, and we read our library books with our prayer partners, the seventh grade class. We had a lot of fun reading that day! There are also pictures of the students building catapults, which they used to fight off leprechauns, and working on a St. Patrick's Day bulletin board with our Delone helper, Ms. Kaitlyn. As always, we're learning in lots of fun ways in first grade! Comments are closed.
