First grade is out of tissues:( If anyone would like to donate some boxes of tissues, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
We had a patriotic mystery reader come to help us celebrate President's Day. She read God Bless our Country by Hannah Hill, a book of sweet and silly rhymes teaching American values and patriotism. The students enjoyed the story and the goody bags full of patriotic items. Our mystery reader also brought in pictures of Hanover's bald Eagle with its babies. The students enjoy learning about our country and its symbols and they enjoyed our special mystery reader!
We will be having a Valentines Day party on Tuesday, February 14th. If the students would like to bring in cards or treats to give out to their classmates, that is fine. If you choose to send a treat, please be sure that it is wrapped or bagged for the students to take home. We have 13 students. Thank you!
Catholic Schools Week has come to an end, but what a fun week we had! On Monday, Kindergarten through fifth grade played games in the gym. We also made thank you cards for our local firemen to thank them for their service to our community. On Tuesday we did our STREAM project (see pictures in the post below this post) and we had a soft pretzel snack. On Wednesday, we wore our neon shirts that we made, we participated in the Jump Rope for Heart to raise money for the American Heart Association, and we were visited by several Star Wars characters. On Thursday, we bussed to the middle school to meet our parents for lunch and on Friday we thanked our priests and deacon for their service and we celebrated Mass. In the afternoon, we had fun using marshmallows to paint snowmen with our prayer partners. We had a lot of fun and talked a lot about service this past week!
