I don't know how it happened, but the video keeps uploading backwards so it appears the kids are all blessing themselves with their left hands, but they are not. You can see on the bulletin board in the back that the video has flipped. I don't have access to flip the videos on our web program, but this video is so cute, I had to upload it anyway. I tried flipping it in a different program and then uploading it, but that didn't even work. Oh well! Enjoy!
Study spelling - test is on Monday
Study Prayer of the Guardian Angel - the kids will recite it individually on Friday
Study math facts - both 0s,
I am one proud teacher today! The first graders had a wonderful class mass. Every first grader participated in a very important and meaningful way. My readers, my young men who took up the gifts, and my greeters all did an amazing job! Many of the children also participated with Monsignor Lyons in explaining the reading from today in the homily and they knew their stuff! Thanks for practicing with them at home! All the practice really showed!
The first grade also did a wonderful job in the Race for Education last week! They ran, they cheered, and they made everyone who was there smile! They were well-behaved, polite, and a lot of fun! I enjoyed myself immensely!
Study for spelling test tomorrow.
Phonics Lesson 112
*First grade class mass is tomorrow at 10:30 in the chapel in the basement of the elementary building. All parents are welcome to join us!
Phonics Lesson 107
Remember tomorrow is the Race for Education at the middle school. Also, tomorrow is the last day for handing in Flat Stanley addresses. I intend to mail them out on Saturday morning. Thank you and enjoy the weather before it rains!
Phonics Lesson 106 - some students finished it in class and had it checked and they do not need to bring it back tomorrow. The students who did not finish it or who had it wrong must do it for homework and bring it back tomorrow. Thank you!
In the communication folders today there is a letter from me about the upcoming class mass and the Race for Education. There are six students reading in the class mass and their readings are in the communication folder. Please practice this with them each night. All kids have a job at the class mass. Thank you and enjoy this beautiful weather!
Read pages 142 to 156 in the Storytown book and answer questions 1 - 5 on page 157. You can answer the questions on the paper that lists your homework or another sheet is fine.
If there is anyone else in your family that would like to be a secret reader, please
