Hello and welcome to the first grade blog!
I am very excited to be teaching the wonderful students entering the first grade! I will be updating this site regularly to keep all the first grade parents informed about what we are doing during the school year.
I know everyone is working hard to get ready for the first grade, so I will attach the supply list for the classroom and for art class, in case you did not get a copy at the end of last school year. I look forward to meeting all of the parents this year at our Grade Level Meeting on August 14, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the classroom.
I look forward to an exciting new year! And I would like to take a moment to say thank you for the wonderful gifts you as parents have given to us, the chance to teach, mold, and enrich the lives of your children! It is always an honor!

Art Supply List

1 box of colored pencils
1 box of fat classic colored markers
1 ultra-fine or fine sharpie
4 glue sticks

Please label your supplies with a Sharpie marker or name labels. It is very helpful to have every marker, crayon, glue stick, etc. labeled with your name. Also, please remember to label coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and anything else that may be taken off at school.
Your child will also need 2 lined copy books and a writing journal purchased from school. Please send in $3.60 in a marked envelope with your child's name on the first day of school for these items. Should you have any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, please feel free to contact me at any time! You can reach me by calling the office at 717-632-1335 or e-mailing me at email@example.com. May God bless you and keep you and your family safe for the rest of the summer! I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
