No homework for today! I am planning on having a small Christmas party for the first graders on Thursday afternoon. If anyone wants to send in a snack for the party, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will need drinks for the kids, something sweet, and something salty. There are 14 kids in the classroom. On Friday, the kids will be dismissing at 11:30. There will be no busses for dismissal on Friday, so all kids will need to be picked up in car line. Middle school students will be dismissed at 11:45. If you are picking up a preschooler at 11:00, I will have your first grader ready to go with their brother or sister at 11:00 so you do not have to sit and wait. Thank you for all the support you provide to your children and our classroom everyday!
No homework today. Remember, students should arrive tonight between 6:00 and 6:15 at the middle school for the Christmas program. The show will begin at 6:30. The first graders have done a marvelous job practicing and I know they will do great!
Phonics Lesson 51
I am sorry that I have not printed out the kids' homework for them. My printer was not working well and has now been declared a goner. I will be replacing it as soon as I find a good one at a good price!
Phonics Lesson 48
I will not be collecting reading logs anymore until after Christmas break!
So far this year our first graders have logged 8,965 minutes!
