This week has been a great first week! We have had a lot of fun, we've practiced our emergency drills, we've read some stories, we've enjoyed a few extra recesses, and we've even done a science experiment! This is going to be a great year!
A few notes and reminders:
Our library period has been moved to Thursday, so first graders should return their books on Wednesday mornings.
Reading logs were sent home on Friday, so don't forget to start reading!
Behavior charts start coming home on Monday, so please sign them every day and return the chart to school!
Please clean out the homework folders every day! There are two sides to the folders, one is a stay at home side and the other is the homework side. Please look through both sides everyday!
We have off school on August 30 and September 2 for Labor Day weekend.
We sit back on the rug at one point or another every school day, so sometimes it would be beneficial for the first grade girls to wear shorts under their skirts.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday!
