Las Posadas is a Mexican tradition. It is when two people pose as Mary and Joseph and others as shepherds and they walk door to door and ask if there is room for them. First grade reenacted Las Posadas throughout the school on Monday morning before enjoying Mexican punch and a piece of Spanish candy.
Last week we learned about Italian Christmas traditions and we had cannoli. The students have been having a great time learning about different holiday traditions around the world.
Remember that Tuesday is a half day and all first graders will need to go home in car line.
