We had fun with our mystery reader. She read Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes, a classic children's book about a mouse named Chrysanthemum. In the story, Chrysanthemum loves her long, beautiful name, until she starts school and the other students make fun of it. With the help of her parents and a special music teacher, she learns to love her name again. The kids hung on every word! Our reader brought us a worksheet so we could work with our own names in a colorful way and a snack for everyone. Below are pictures from our 100th day of school, where we dressed like we're 100 years old. Stay tuned for more pictures from Catholic Schools Week!
