The first graders are getting into a great routine! We are reviewing a different phoneme each day in phonics and are using that sound to build words. We are on our third lesson in our Reading text, learning the difference between fiction and nonfiction and when it's fiction, fantasy and realistic fiction. We are learning about addition number sentences in math and in religion, how God loves us all so much that he created the world for us! We are practicing routine and manners in the classroom. We are having tons of fun, singing songs, doing dances, and playing games. Below are some fun pictures of us doing reading comprehension with the comprehension ball and looking for things God made in our beautiful world. Most of the pictures were taken before the mask mandate. Here are some important upcoming dates:
Friday, September 17th: Picture day Wednesday, September 29th: No school; teacher in-service day Friday, October 8th: No school for K-5; parent-teacher conferences Monday, October 11th: No school
