Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a nice holiday and break with family and friends.
We spent time in class this week working on our stories modeled after a recent reading class story and infusing all our grammar learning this year into our work. The class enjoyed making these stories their own with some funny story lines included. We enjoyed celebrating 1st Friday Liturgy today as well. Several 5th graders were asked to help out as the 1st graders planned this mass and they served well. We also had some "April Fools Day" fun today. Be sure to ask your child how it went.
We've also been continuing to keep up with local current events and were saddened to hear that the newborn (on Monday) eaglet didn't make it and passed away on Wednesday. We are still on egg-hatch watch for #2, and hope and pray for a better outcome.
Also still keeping up with the primary voting season - PA is coming up at the end of the month. We'll be doing some voting of our own very soon...
Next week, we begin COGAT testing. We will be testing on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. As always, please ensure your child has adequate sleep and a nutritious breakfast to get the day started on a good note. I have some things included in our plans to help get our brain cells warmed up as well.
Friday of next week is our Race for Education which the students always love. Cheerleaders always welcome! Pray for nice weather!!
Tuesday: Cover Page & Good Copy of NEHI5th Gr. story
Wednesday: Science Unit D Quiz

Thursday: SS Ch 11 Test
