Whoa! What a whirlwind week! We had some great 5th grade representatives in the Talent Show! We loved Camilla's singing and Josie's, accompanied by her brother Chris, skit. We are so proud of all the talent at our school!
We had SO much fun today with the Race for Education. Lots of sweaty smiles at the end for a great cause!
We also had a visitor to our classroom this week and another for next week! SJS is really bustling!
I loved reading the students' "Nothing Ever Happens..." stories that we due this week on Wednesday. The kids had a lot of fun with them, making a chain of events happen either at Baltimore Street, Grandview Road, St. Joseph School, or the 5th Grade classroom. These stories are always so much fun!
I keep telling the class (I'm sure they are so sick of hearing it) that we down to the nitty gritty of the school year. As we enter into the last few weeks of the year, students are continuing to pick up more responsibility and due dates to be aware of. If you child still has yet to update their assignment book with dates and some due dates from now until the end of the year, this would be extremely helpful to keep them organized. Reminders are coming fewer and farther between and I haven't been offering so many "second chances" as we are preparing for Middle School life skills. I hope no one else has to feel the consequence in low grades due to missing deadlines or handing in incomplete work.
