Hi Parents, 

Please enjoy these cell projects we did in groups of 4 this week. I think the kids did a FABULOUS job on them. Not only on science content, but I observed some great skills of communication, collaboration, planning, organizing, and delegating. Way to go 5th grade! 

Hi Parents, 

We won't have a regular test packet tomorrow as our only grades(s) this week were the Superbowl Math Project and the optional EC WLT for Reading I mentioned in last week's newsletter. Your child's math grade is in the Rediker portal if you want to peek at it before next Friday's test packet. (The EC Reading grade was attached to WLT #9 as extra points.)

Everyone, otherwise, is bringing home a Religion copybook with a CW grade inside on an orange slip. 

We are working on a cell model in class tomorrow that we have planned and prepared for all week. Those supplies should come in for in-class work. 

The next time (or if) we need to use Snow Day Packet #5, please have your child return the ENTIRE folder. So that would include the folder, the packet, and the directions sheet. I'd like to repurpose these into writing portfolios for the end of the school year. 

Next week, we are looking at a Rdg WLT, a decimal division test, Spelling Test, and a grade for the cell model project. Stay tuned to HW books for those specific dates. March 1 is quickly approaching and is the last day of the Trimester. 

Finally, we will have a small Valentine's Day party on Monday. However, we have Music class in the middle of our afternoon, so I have to plan it for before lunch. I'll try not to sugar them up too much for Mrs. Pugliese. :) We have 17 students if your child would like to bring in and share Valentines. I have juice, popcorn, and pretzels for the kiddos. I hope this will counteract the sugar...
