We were able this week to spend time in the Chapel with our 1st grade prayer partners and 3rd grade friends for Stations of the Cross. Many students were able to participate and it was a thoughtful devotion. Today we went to Reconciliation with the visiting priests Msgr Lyons, Fr. Ryan, Fr. McNeil, and Fr. Gotwalt.
In the classroom, we completed our unit on the Sacraments of Healing, Multiplication and Division of Decimals, and Earth's Resources. We were productive and were happy the weather has been sunny to brighten our moods as we look towards Spring. Go away snow!
We are still following the primary/caucus voting season and the students are eager to tell me each day who won which state. Although I sensed some disappointment, many were eager to tell me the news that Rubio dropped out. We have about a month until PA votes and the kids are excited!

Have a great weekend!
Another busy, yet productive week. I'm glad it appears as though the yucky weather is behind us and we won't need to worry about using any more make-up days!
Our class had a great time sharing the day with our grandparents yesterday. I saw so many smiles and great experiences between families! I attempted to put some photos on the website, but the site is being cranky. I'll try again on Monday to get these up.
As a "leftover" from February, we watched a movie about the early childhood of Ruby Bridges. As best as I tried to squeeze it in, we still have 5 minutes to finish on Monday. If we watched the ending, we would have been shorted Art time. Now we have something to look forward to. :)
We've been keeping up with the primary season. The students are excited each day we get to update the delegate/state win data collection we have.
Our Stations of the Cross has been rescheduled for Monday and we will be doing the Stations with our prayer partners in the Chapel.
Please keep in mind that our trip is approaching in 7 weeks. I've seen several parents send in papers to the office to update/obtain clearances. Remember that only parents with these updated clearances will be able to chaperone.
Tuesday: Rel. The Angelus

If you still have a grade report envelope, please sign and return it on Monday.
Race for Education permission slips also came home this week. I have many returned already. Thank you!
I've noticed many good-looking updated HW books in regard to dates and known due-dates. Students know they should be keeping up with these independently through the end of the year.
Have a great weekend!
The 3rd Trimester is officially in full swing now! Look for grade reports to come home with your child on Wednesday next week.
