Despite being bummed out that we lost our President's Day long weekend, we tried to make the best of things here at school. We worked on President's Day posters with research and note-taking. The class is learning to be more careful to make sure that the sources they find are reliable ones. We worked on the posters in school until Wednesday when they went home to be completed. They came back today and we had time to share our findings with the class.
On Wednesday, we were invited to join in the Jump for Heart celebration from the K-3rd grade students. We loved watching Mrs. Bortner and Mrs. Crossman be silly-stringed! I hope photos are posted soon because it was hysterical. The kids who had the silly string cans had a GREAT time! Afterwards, Mrs. Borter said everyone could stick around while we had a sock hop - AKA - everyone danced! I'm sure everyone's heart rate was up that afternoon. Good thing we packed up before we went to the gym!
I'm happy to say we ended the week on a good note. I'd like to see this continue. Thank you for your help and support at home.
