What we did this week:
Reading: Story - The Night of San Juan
Spelling: Lesson 7
English: Common/Proper/Singular/Plural/Possessive Nouns
Math: Prime Factorizations, Exponents, Bases
Religion: Confirmation/St. Damien
Science: Life Science - Plants: Photosynthesis
SS: Mesopotamian Achievements
Busy, busy, busy this week. We had Pro-Life Cupcake Day on Monday, Grandparents day for the younger grades on Wednesday (we had to be flexible with accommodating them), Fire Prevention Assembly on Thursday, and then trying to resume some regularity on a Friday before a long weekend!
Because we were so productive all week, I planned some projects for Friday. Today we had a scavenger hunt game for 4 types of nouns, designed a poster to get ready for the Sacrament of the Eucharist, and assembled our sweet potato projects! To work on finishing the Eucharist poster is an optional weekend assignment. Our potatoes are around the school to try to get optimal amounts of sunlight - which we never get in our own classroom. :( We will check their progress weekly. These should be due to come back home by mid-December.
Please send in a pumpkin with your student between Tuesday the 21st and Thursday the 23rd. Ideal size is soccer/basketball size. We will use them for a project the 24th-28th and I hope to send them back home the 30th.
Monday: NO SCHOOL
Wednesday: Have Oct. Bk It Calendar updated & in school
Thursday: Religion Act of Hope Test
Friday: Spelling Lesson 8
Have a wonderful long weekend!
