Our classroom/hallway looks like a lovely pumpkpin patch now. We've gotten off to a nice start with lessons on longitude, latitude, equator, prime meridian, the tropic of Cancer, the tropic of Capricorn, and 3/7 continents so far. You were able to get a sneak peek if you came in for conferences today. We should be able to complete them on Monday, display them Tuesday - Wednesday, and then come home on Thursday.
Our Sumdog competition was this week. Congratulations to our daily winners in 5th grade: Gus, Emma, Ella, & Connor! Also, on Tuesday, our class was the daily winner - out of 204 classrooms! WOW!!!! Overall - now that the contest is over - the 6th grade here at SJS was in 2nd place! Way to go! (See next email with more info.)
