With the start of a new month we have begun saying a decade of the Rosary each morning with prayers. On Thursday, we were joined with Bishop Gainer again as he briefly spoke to the students of the diocese and then we prayed the full Rosary together. Due to technical difficulties, we invited 2nd grade to pray with us in our classroom during this time. It went very well.
Our class did very well with our surprise fire drill Wednesday morning. They had a sweet treat during their Math test.
If you have not yet, please sign and return the progress report envelope Monday.
I have almost finalized the schedule for conference day so I hope by Wednesday I'll be sending home confirmation slips in the students' assignment books.
Because of some upcoming projects, I have a few requests:
1) Could you please send in clean, clear jars with the wrappers removed. Ideal sizes would be like larger pickle jars, pasta sauce jars, jelly jars. If you have several available, please send them in just in case others are lacking.
2) Please send in a sweet potato.
~~~~~~These first 2 we will need by next Friday the 10th ~~~~~~~~
I'll plan to go to the grocery store Wednesday/Thursday after school to pick up extras. If you'd like me to get one for your child, please send in $1 by Wednesday.
3) Please send in a pumpkin with your student between Tuesday the 21st and Thursday the 23rd. Ideal size is soccer/basketball size. We will use them for a project the 24th-28th and I hope to send them back home the 30th.
