Science: Life Science - Ch 2 Review & Test
SS: Daily Life in Sumer, The First Empires
Oh what a week! Believe it or not, sometimes I think this week can be more hectic than the week before Christmas! We've been continuing to monitor the progress of our sweet potatoes, create observation logs, completed, displayed, and took home our pumpkin globes, designed, cleaned out, and carved a 5th grade pumpkin, shopped the book fair, had a visit from Annie Kilkelly for the Spiritual Adoption program, and had some Halloween fun this afternoon with pumpkin seeds, pomegranate seeds, apples, peanut butter, raisins, and Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin!
On top of all of that, the students were excited to share their book reports with the class today! We also input our minutes to the Book It website and discovered we BEAT the class goal by a few hundred minutes! The kid's also picked from a prize basket for working together to surpass the class goal.
This morning, we spent time with our K prayer partners helping them make a ghost craft from Tootsie Pops. Later, our class completed mummies. We used both as the subject of writing samples in our journals.
Whew! I'm TIRED after this week!
Wednesday: SS: CE Assignment Due
Reading: WLT When Washington Crossed the DE
Thursday: English Unit 3 Less 1-4 Quiz
Friday: Spelling Review Lesson 10
We are still collecting boxes for the food collection that starts Monday. We'll take whatever you are willing to give. Thanks!
Have a wonderful weekend!
