We've got another Catholic School's Week under our belts! So jam-packed with goodies, I'm sure the students will be talking about the activities for a while! Plus the fun will continue as we wait for the Skating Party to be rescheduled. Some big favorite highlights from the week include: dress down days, the parent lunch, and the open house. We had a nice Spelling Bee this morning with the class. Big congrats to Kyle and Gabby who went head to head, back and forth for about a dozen words at the end. We shared and discussed January Book Reports and got to see everyone's creative side with the scenes inside the boxes. They look GREAT!
Since we are deep in the heart of sickness-season, I've been reminding the kids to use the hand sanitizers after using a tissue and/or the bathroom. We wipe the desks/chairs at 1/2x/week and I've been trying to disinfect with Lysol spray after school. It is also helpful to keep home sick kids until they are symptom/fever free for 24 hours. Being sick is no fun. I think everyone who has been sick is about all caught up with school work, but let me know if you have questions and/or your child needs some extra help.
We will have a 1st Friday's Mass next week, 2/6, where some 5th graders will be helping as cantors and altar servers. Join us if you are available. Also, remember Friday 2/13 will be a snow-make-up day. 2/16....knock on wood....is still scheduled as a day off.
Back to work next week. I've got a reminder on the board that the 2nd Trimester ends March 4th and to keep that in mind for maintaining and improving grades/behavior.
Tuesday: Math Ch 4 Test
Wednesday: SS CE Sue
Eng: Unit 4 Adjectives Test
SS Ch 6 Test
Thursday: Science Ch 6 Test
Friday: Spelling Lesson 18 Test
25 weeks of Baby Boy Maurer growing down, 15 to go. Thank you for your kind words about how we are doing. He is kicking me plenty and I'm sure can't wait to see everyone "on the outside!" We appreciate your thoughts and prayers!
I have various pictures to share so be tuned in the next week for these images/updates.
Have a wonderful weekend! Patriots or Seahawks...who will it be? The poll we took in class shows Seahawks favoritism. We'll see...
