If you have not already, get into the Evening Sun website and check out pictures and VIDEOS(!) from our "Pie Day" on Wednesday. Mrs.Bortner's goal for the school was to raise $2,100 , but the students collected over $4,000 for the American Heart Association! I certainly think that was worthy of getting pied! I was the lucky recipient of 3 pies, but Mrs. Biggins certainly was the most favored with 5 pies! SJS is also the cover of the most recent print edition of the Evening Sun (published yesterday) if you are able to check it out. I'm sure Mrs. Scott will be getting some of her own photos/videos on the school page for your viewing pleasure. It really was a lot of fun!
Speaking of fun, the kids had a BLAST at Ms. Pam's winter carnival today. They should be loaded up with goodies to bring home today. Big thanks also to all the parent volunteers that help students play games and give out tickets and prizes.
5th Grade is planning the liturgy for next Friday. Please join us if you are available.
Today's test packet is the last set of grades for the second trimester. Next Friday's test packet through the end of the year is for Trimester 3.
As of now, I have confirmation for March 26th for our trip. I'm still working out cost and hope to have permission slips with all the details going home next week. After these slips go home, please let me know ASAP if you can join us. We are not limited on the number of chaperones. It will be an all-day trip. I haven't yet spoken to the class about this, so I will give more information after I do so.
Wednesday: Sci Ch 7 Test
Thursday: Math Ch 6 Less 1-9 Quiz
Friday: Spelling Less 21
SS Ch 8 Lesson 1-2 Quiz
Have a wonderful weekend! I can't believe March is next week, I hope this means more seasonal/warmer weather isn't too far off. I'm sick of all this snow!
