First of all, a big thank you to all the chaperones who were able to come with us on our field trip last Friday. We had a great time and learned so many awesome details about the inner workings of our PA Government. You really have to go see the Capitol building to see how impressive it is an appreciate all that it took to create it! Check out the website for some photos!
Grade Reports came home with your child on Wednesday. If you have not already done so, please sign and return the envelope ASAP. Our 3rd trimester is off to a good start and the countdown to summer break is on! 2.5 months....
Our Book It Program is winding down. Over 6 months, with just 2 weeks to go, we have amassed over 65,000 minutes! We have had months with some students not completing and/or turning in the Reading Calendar. This is an expectation to be completed and part of the ILA Reading grade. Let's finish strong to make sure we can all meet our individual and class goals for the month and meet our 6th month goal for the class. This month's book report assignment was handed out today and will be due 3/29. The final Reading Calendar will be due 4/1.
Today was also our Trimester 2 MegaShambuck party! The kids had a great time and I'm sure will have lots of details to fill you in on when they get home.
COGATs testing coming up the week of March 25th. Please be mindful of helping your child make sure to come to school well-rested and with a healthy breakfast. This testing will only take 3 mornings that week. I plan to test on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Also, the IOWAs testing is also coming up the week of April 8th. We will test everyday in the morning that week.
Tuesday: Feast of St. Joseph Liturgy at 8:30
Wednesday: SS CE Due
Thursday: SS Greek Gods/Goddess Project Due
Friday: Spelling Lesson 21 Test
We are soon coming up on our studies of the Sacraments at the Service of Communion. I just wanted to give you a heads up that I will be soon asking students to bring in a photo of a married couple on their wedding day. Parents, Grandparents, family members, friends, etc. are fine. You can send in a real photograph, a copy of the photograph, an emailed image of the photograph, a small framed photograph, whatever you are comfortable with. Photos will be returned in the same condition they are sent to school in. This will be officially assigned next week but I wanted to give you a heads up. Final deadline to bring this in will be 3/27.
Have a great weekend!
God Bless You!
