What a fun, but busy week here at school! We had a beautiful liturgy on Wednesday that the 5th graders helped prepare and then went to mass again the next day with our Grandparents! Both times, we had great readers, choir members, and altar servers! Lunch, the Book Fair, and a visit to the classroom was fun for our grandparents as well. We were able to share various projects with them in the classroom such as our newspaper book reports, our Greek projects, our March Madness brackets, and Current Events to name a few.
Today we had another whirlwind busy day with all of the excitement surrounding the Race for Education! We cheered some of our fellow SJS students, ran our hearts out, then cheered for others again! The kids had chips and a water after a few cool down laps. We even had a few good samaritans that helped Mrs. Oliver take down the book fair. BIG HUGE THANKS to all the volunteers/donors who helped make this an amazing success and SO FUN for the students!
Next week we are gearing up to put our energy into the IOWAs. Please help make sure your child gets adequate rest each night with a nutritious breakfast
to start their day. Our testing is mostly in the AM, so being on time to school is important.
Today, I went over missing assignments from the various subjects. We seemed to have accumulated a lot of these unfortunately. If your child has any written on the slip of their test packet, they have been asked for this assignment at least 2x. If they aren't handed in by Monday (most of the missed work was from the end of March/first week of April), it will be recorded as a "0".
Have a great weekend!
God Bless You!
