We were able to get a great start to the year this week. We've been setting up notebooks, taking notes, talking about study tips, planning ahead, and being very productive. We also already had a few unexpected schedule changes, but we've been flexible. I hope your children give you updates throughout the week.
I was very proud of our class today as we planned and shared the back-to-school liturgy with our friends and families. Not one glitch! The students were respectful and reverent as well as great helpers to me as we set up and then, later took down sacramentals and necessary items. Our readers and cantors were wonderful and we had no difficulties. We also sat with our Kindergarten friends for the first time to help guide them in the parts of the mass. Overall, great job!
We also finish sharing our Summer Book Reports this week. I was impressed as the students took turns enthusiastically sharing their posters and telling the class about their chosen book. Students did a great job "selling" their books to a group of eager readers! Grade rubrics will be coming home in our first test packet to be sent home next Friday.
