I'm not at school today for personal reasons, but still wanted to send a short note for a few things.
In Religion class, we are starting our study of the sacraments. We will begin with Baptism, so I'm asking if each student could bring in a photo of themselves at their own Baptism. A photo with parents, godparents, the deacon/priest, etc - primarily I'm looking for the child in a white garment, no matter who else is in the picture. We will be using these for a project, but I will promise that if you would like your photo returned, it will come back to you in the same condition it came to school in. Putting pictures in a plastic baggie is helpful. Please send these in by next Friday.
At home, students should also be working to complete their individual commitment to the good deeds for 9/11. Each student is responsible for 166 and we completed ~60 each together in class. Students then had a sticky note to keep tally marks on for completing the rest of their links. I'd bet most students have ~40-50 left. These should be sent into school by next Friday.
Remember test packets come home each Friday and should be signed and returned to school no later than the following Tuesday.
Tuesday: Rdg - Weekly Lesson Test (WLT)
Wednesday: Eng - Unit 1 Test
Sci - Ch 1 Less 2-3 Quiz
Friday: Spelling Less 5
Baptism picture due at school
(Science study tip - students should get into the habit of using their copybooks for review. Textbooks and the study guide of course are also fine.)
Have a nice weekend!
