Better late than never? This week we finished up some President's Day projects. We had all kinds of great information to share about great leaders such as George Washington, Harry Truman, Ronald Regan, George W Bush, and many more!
We are continuing to excitedly watch the Codorus eagles as they get closer to their hatch date! St. Patrick's Day is the first predicted hatch. I know our class would be thrilled to see it live.
Now in the 3rd trimester, we've shifted gears a bit to the students taking on more responsibility. We've eased into it, but the students are now responsible for updating assignment books with due dates and upcoming reminders of projects and events, highlighting in religion, taking Sci & SS notes, and completing study guides on their own with minimal guidance. I still do an awful lot of "peeking over shoulders" while we are working and offering "suggestions" as to what should be included. We've been doing a great job of taking more initiative to be proactive about our work and assignments and I've observed a smooth transition into this last part of the school year!
