Another busy week! Mrs. Kessler was in to help me out on Monday. Then on Tuesday, our students shopped at the book fair. We were also treated to watching a live conference with Bishop Gainer along with all the other schools in our diocese. A 7th grader from St. Joseph asked him a question as did students from 9 other schools. He also spoke to the students about vacation time and how they should always remember summertime is not a vacation from God. It was a great message for the kids.
On Thursday, we had our field trip! We enjoyed nice weather, were able to stay on schedule, and had a wonderful time. I'm sure your students filled you in with some details from the day. Although we arrived back to school a few minutes later than expected (thanks construction), we still made it and everyone had a ride home. Thanks to the great chaperones who came with us and a special "Happy Birthday" to Mr. Catlin who was serenaded on our ride home. If any chaperones, or students I suppose, have photos to share, please email them to me. I forgot to unload my phone from all the "Avalyn" pictures the night before so I was out of storage.
Mrs. Bortner (Gym) has sent home a flier asking for volunteers for field day on June 4th. I believe the times were 10-2. I don't think she put a deadline on the paper, but if you'd like to help out, send the paper back into school and I'll see that she gets it. Or email me and I'll get her your message.
