What we did this week:
Reading: Story - When George Washington Crossed the Delaware
Spelling: Halloween/Fall List
English: Biography Reports drafting process
Religion: The Eucharist, The Liturgical Calendar, All Saint's & Soul's Days
Science: Life Science - Plant Reproduction - Spores and Seeded plants
SS: Ch 2 Review & Test
It was a particularly interesting week because on top of all the holiday excitement, I had no voice from Tuesday PM until present. In fact, I hope it is back by Monday. I've never flicked the lights or rang the bell on my desk so much to get the kids attention after classwork. Say a prayer to St. Anthony to find it because teaching is even harder without a voice!
We met our class Book It reading goal for October! As a class, we need to collectively read 16,500 minutes a month. After all our tabulations on Thursday, our total was 16,610! Way to go! Onto month 2....
Our boxes are covered, labeled, decorated, and off to their classrooms. (Special thanks to our MS box delivery moms!) We have a nice stash remaining, but if you send them in, I will find a use for them. Thanks to everyone with your help! Now we just need to work on filling up our 5th grade boxes with green beans!
