We were able to share another beautiful liturgy as a school today. As this was our mass to plan, we prepared cantors, readers, and gift bearers. Needless to say, planning for a school mass is SO much nicer now that we have a built-in church this year. Transforming the gymnasium at Baltimore Street was a lot of work and preparation! Msgr Lyons made some nice comments about our class. Thanks to those who helped make it wonderful.
We kicked off our Book It Program this week. October through March, we are working towards individual and class goals. Your child should be documenting their minutes read at home and at school on the monthly calendar I provided last week. Mid-month and at the end of the month through the program, we will imput our minutes into the website to check our progress and to see if we are on track or have some reading to improve on. Remember book reports are due the last day of the month we are in school and count as a Reading grade.
If you have not yet seen your conference time confirmation, all slips have been stapled into assignment books. You may remove these to use as your own reminder.
Due to some scheduling changes and added events for our upcoming 3-day school week, we will not have any quizzes/tests. Students should still use some HW time to review daily lessons via copybook notes and/or study guides.
Monday: NO SCHOOL
Have a wonderful long weekend!
