Today, we decorated cookies in the shape of pumpkins with icing, chocolate chips, and candy corn! They were delicious treats that the children all enjoyed! Mrs. McCusker and I took turns helping them make these yummy cookies!
Last Thursday our grandparents were here, and we absolutely loved them being here! We sang the song "Hello Grandparents" as a class, and then we sang with the 1st and 2nd grade; the song "This Little Light of Mine". When the grandparents came to our room we made ghost lollipops with them, and did a grandparents day word search.
In Religion, we went down to the school chapel to see what it looks like, and learn about some of the different things in the chapel. We talked about genuflecting before you go into the pew, and about how we are to sit quietly and pray. We also talked about the stations of the cross, the alter, and the tabernacle.
Welcome to Kindergarten!
My name is Chelsea McSherry and I am the kindergarten teacher at St. Joseph School.
Kindergarten is an all day program filled with many fun activities and classes. My hope is that the children will develop a love of learning and an understanding of the importance of religion in their lives. May God bless all the children and their families.
