God made us wonderful! We experienced many new things using our eyes, ears, nose and hands during Pirate Week! We made pirate faces and hats with bright colors and fun craft materials. We played pirate games, like Pirates Playing, and walked the plank! We sang pirate songs and searched for burried treasure in our sand table. We used our hands to feel new textures, like cloud dough, moon sand, water marbles, and gooey gak. Preschool really is a treasure! Yo, ho, ho, Mateys!
The landlubbers in our 4 year old classes had a fantastic week! We had many fun pirate activities, like making pirate hats, playing pirate games and walking the plank. There was even a mutany, where the children made Miss Anita and Miss Jessica walk the plank!
This week, we learned that God made helpers. Helpers are people who show they love and care for others by helping. We can be helpers too! Next week, we will continue learning about helpers and wrap up this unit with a special dress up day. Students may come to school dressed as a community helper on Friday, Sept. 27.
We also completed our letter B activities and introducted the letter C and the number 2. We found the letter c in our names a few times and learned the C Song and sign. Kiss your brains, Mateys!
Also, I'd like to welcome and thank our Delone student helpers. We will have Delone High School Students rotaing to help in our afternoon class. We are excited to make new helping friends!
