We are off to a great start! The children are learning our routines. They are practicing how to share, take turns speaking and using good manners.
This week we learned that we can hear. God is wonderful to make so many sounds for us to hear and to make us able to hear them. We played with instruments and had a little parade to wrap up this chapter.
We also began learning about the color red. We made "smushy bags," painted, colored, had I Spy searches, sang songs and other fun things!
We are off to an awesome start! Most of the children have quickly adapted to our routines and follow directions well!
We have learned that God Made Me and started learning that God made our families, too. We will be doing a project soon with the names of our families. If you could please send in a list of your child's immediate family members, that would be great!
We also started learning about the letter A and its sound. We played games and sang songs to help us learn to identify the letter and its sound.
We had a great first week! There was many smiles and lots of laughter as we greeted old friends and made some new ones. The children did a great job beginning to settle into our routines. We will continue to work on these in the next week or two. They also did a great job reviewing their colors and shapes! Kiss your brains!
We had a fun first day together! The children are quickly picking up our routines and I am confident that they will do even better next week! We painted, played with model magic, sang songs and read a few big books.
