Our Terrific Three friends were very busy this week! We finished our unit "I Can Smell" in Religion and began "I Can Feel." In the coming weeks, we will have one more smelling
activity, and will have a few messy days while working on our touching theme. Please be sure to send your child in play clothes!
We introduced the color red this week. We played games, went on a "red safari" and painted a red parrot.
This week, we also celebrated "International Talk Like a Pirate Day." We made pirate hats and treasure chests. We played games, like Cannon Ball Toss and Walk the Plank. We read "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell" and "Sheep on a Ship."
We had a short week, but it was full of fun! In religion, we completed our unit "God Made Our Friends." We will be starting "God Made Helpers" next week. At the end of the unit we will have a Helper Dress Up Day. I will give you the specific date soon.
We began learning about the letter C and will continue this unit next week. We learned "The C Song" and how to make a C in sign language. We played Roll, Say, Color and Clap for C. We read "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake" and decorated our own (zucchini) cupcakes for snack.
This week, we also celebrated "International Talk Like a Pirate Day." We made pirate hats and pirate handprints. We played games, like Musical Islands, Cannon Ball Toss and Walk the Plank. We read "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell" and "Sheep on a Ship."
