This week we completed our unit "I can touch." We had many opportunities to use this great gift from God this week. We played with Model Magic, explored textured bean bags, and talked about things we like or don't like to touch.
We also learned more about the color red. We practiced sorting bears and found the red ones. We used red paint in our Johnny Appleseed Day crafts. We went on safaris in our classroom to find objects that are the color red. You can play the same game at home!
Next week, we will learn that we have tongues to taste and introduce the color orange.
We continued working on our religion theme "God Made Our Helpers." We learned that there are many adults that help up but that we can be helpers too! On Monday, we will have a special helper costume day and a visit from a very important helper!
We finished learning about the letter C this week. We practiced the C Song and how to make a Cc in sign language and write it. We made a gooey cupcake craft and played more games to practice the c sound.
We visited our school library for the first time and met another helper, Miss Keffer, who is our librarian. Miss Keffer will read to us several times this year. Today she read
We also had fun with Johnny Appleseed Day this week. We made fun apple crafts on Friday, which also gave our little fingers a workout!
