FANTASTIC FOURS

• Religion – We completed the units “God Made Animals," God Made Birds," "God Made Fish," as well as an Easter unit.
• Literacy – We have been practicing creating rhyming pairs, clapping and counting syllables in words, and have studied the letters A - W.  We play games and sing songs to review all letters each day.  We read several spring themed stories predicted what will happen next and talked about the order of events.
• Math – We practiced counting to and identifying numbers to 20 and completing patterns.  We ordered pictures by size.
• Science & Social Studies – We are learning about butterflies and plants.

 
TERRIFIC THREES

• Religion – We completed the units “I Can Pray," "I Can Grow,” and “I Can Play,” as well as an Easter unit.
• Literacy – We continues to strengthen our fine motor skills by snipping paper, sorting stickers, and directed drawings .
• Math – We have been reviewing the basic 2D shapes, circles, squares, diamonds, rectangles, and ovals.  
• Science & Social Studies – We are learning about plants and butterflies. 

 
IMPORTANT DATES

• May 12 -- Last Day for Terrific Threes
• May 13 -- Fantastic Fours Finale & last day of school (more information coming soon!)

 

• Please have hair tied back for girls in the Fantastic Fours on Wednesdays for Physical Education class.
• If you haven’t already done so, please join ClassDojo!  I post more specific updates and pictures there. 
• Students need to wear sneakers or tennis shoes.
• Please send a morning snack and water bottle with your child.  Your child needs a snack even if he/she is buying lunch. 
• On Ice Cream Fridays, please send money in an envelope with your child’s name and “Ice Cream” on the front.  Please put the envelope (and anything else you would like me to see) in your child’s folder.
