Our Fantastic Four friends had an awesome time during our Nursery Rhyme Olympics this year! They showed great teamwork and sportsmanship. I am so proud of them for cheering for each other and just enjoying the games without being overly competitive!
We started with our "Opening Ceremony," discussing what the real Olympics are and dot painting Olympic rings.
We reviewed "Jack Be Nimble" and jumped over candlesticks, just like Jack. We sang "Humpty Dumpty" and completed a puzzle race. We also reviewed "Five Little Ducks" and competed in a duck waddle relay. We had a special popcorn snack and then read "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" with our puppets.
To end our events, each child was awarded a gold medal. We had a wonderful time, as you can see by all of the smiles in the pictures!
