This week we finished our unit "I Can Play" and started "I Can Work." We learned about how many jobs are helping people and that our parents work at home too -- doing laundry, cleaning the dishes and house, mowing the lawn, etc. We talked about ways that they can work at home. Most of them said that they put their tows away! Shine your halos!
We also learned about the shape of a rectangle this week and met Ricky Rectangle. He likes
to be tricky and disguise himself as a square, so be careful!
We have been playing games and singing songs to practice recognizing our written name.
May 19 -- Last day of school for Terrific Threes (please note the correction)
We had a great week learning that God made birds! We made our own birdie snack mix with Cheerios, raisins, peanuts and gummy worms. We also made feeders for our birdie friends.
We also learned about the letter Uu and the short u sound, as in umbrella. We had a great time with our games and activities! We also made rainy day scenes with colorful umbrellas. Kiss your brains!
On Friday, Sr. Celeste, a Sister of St. Joseph, came all the way from Philadelphia to visit our school! She spent some time with us in our classroom. St. Celeste reminded us that God made us each to be very special and has big plans for each of us. When we pray, we can be open to listening to God and doing what He asks of us.
