Our second week of school was a lot of fun. I am learning many new things about your children. I can already see how much they are learning about our classroom routines and activities. Kiss your brains!
If you have not sent your disinfecting wipes, snack fee or change of clothes for your child, please do so ASAP. TERRIFIC THREES We learned that we can hear. God made many wonderful sounds in our world and gave us the gift of hearing to experience them. We listened to stories with our ears and used musical instruments to make sounds. We had a camping theme this week. We read Curious George Goes Camping, created a tent craft, sang campfire songs and played camping games. One game was called, "Shoo Mosquito!" We had paper mosquitoes on sticks and practiced identifying parts of our body where the mosquitoes landed. FANTASTIC FOURS God made our families. God loves us so much that he gave us our families full of people who love us too. We learned that even Jesus had a family. We read Chrysanthemum and dot painted our names. Each of our names are special and were given to us by our families that love us. We also started learning about the letter A and its sound. We searched our names and found many A's in them. We learned The A Song and how to make an A in sign language. We painted alligators. Miss Jessica read Alexander Ant Cools Off and we looked for rhyming words in the story. We also practiced how to write the lines that will make the letter Aa in our journals. There will be more letter A fun next week!
