Another week is gone already! We are having a great time learning at school!
In religion, we completed the "I Can See" unit and began "I Can Smell." We put shaving cream in the tables for a multi-sensory activity. It was messy, but look at all of those smiles! The children loved it and used their senses!
We also introduced the color orange this week. We sang new songs and practiced many skills, like coloring, cutting, spacial awareness, and of course color recognition. We also learned the nursery rhyme "Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater." We were able to watch a YouTube video clip and started a fun craft. We will continue with orange next week!
This was another whirlwind week! It will be so nice to soon be able to have a full week and start a "regular" schedule!
In religion, we completed the unit "God Made Friends." I saw so many wonderful examples of the children being good friends to each other this week and are very proud of them!
We completed our letter Bb activities, too. We learned the B Song and met the Beaming Bowler, the Super Letter. I added the "trading card" to the children's envelopes. These cards are a fun review you can do at home by acting out the letter's super power or playing letter recognition games. Throughout the year, I will periodically send home a few game ideas.
We started the letter Cc on Friday and will continue with these activities next week. On Monday, we will have "Cap Day." The children are invited to wear a cap (hat) to school.
