In religion, we learned that we can laugh. Laughing is one way that we show we are happy. God loves us and wants us to be happy, so He created laughter for us.
We also worked on our heart activities. We made dogs with heart shaped cutouts, sorted heart shaped stickers by color, counted hearts and practiced fine motor skills.
Next week, we will begin a new shape, and also have fun with Dr. Seuss!
In religion, we learned that God made weather. We certainly enjoyed the warm temperatures and sunny weather this week!
We also worked on our letter Oo activities. We played "Roll, Say, Color," practiced writing Oo, looked for the Oo in our names, and used paint daubbers to practice one-to-one correspondance on our octopus craft.
The Winter Carnival was a big hit! We played games and had special treats for snack. Everyone won great prizes, too!
Next week, we will begin the letter Pp, and also have fun with Dr. Seuss! We will celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday on Friday, March 3rd. The children are invited to dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character.
