This week, we covered the lessons "I Can Grow" and "I Can Wish" in our religion series. We will complete "I Can Wish" next week, and hopefully squeeze in one or two more mini-lessons.
We also introduced the letters U and V and practiced their sounds. Of course, it wouldn't be a complete letter lesson if it didn't include a few Alphabet Heroes! The super power for letter U is "unique undercover." The super power for the letter V is "vicious viper." The kiddies have really picked up our introduction to letters well!
We also painted butterflies to look like our Painted Ladies, which emerged from their chrysalides this week. On Tuesday, we made a special flower snack with pretzel rods, Ritz crackers and Cheez-Its. We reviewed shapes and colors, and had fun with some pre-writing practice.
We completed our religion lessons for "God Made Little Things" and started "God Made Countries."
We learned about the letter Y and it's sound. St. Joseph Yuen was our saint for this week.
We started working on a special graduation project ...but it's a secret! We also practiced our graduation songs. If you haven't sent back your Graduation RSVP, please do so soon.
