This week, we completed our Veterans Day projects. I am just tickled with how well our "flag" turned out! The children also used many colors to paint their ears of Indian corn, including a new color, purple. We also discussed what it means to be thankful and added what each child is thankful for on the Indian corn.
In religion, we are learning that we can clean! God wants us to keep our world and ourselves healthy and clean. Now may be a good time to introduce a few ways your child can help clean at home.
We finished our "Little Miss Muffet" activities and will start a new nursery rhyme after the Thanksgiving break.
This week, we completed our Veterans Day projects. I am very pleased with how the "flag" turned out! We also made cornacopias to show for what we are thankful.
In religion, we are learning that God created music. We spent some time playing the instruments and singing our Christmas songs. God is great to give us music!
We began learning about the letter f. We learned that it makes the sound in fish and frog. The students painted frogs for our craft and identified many words that begin with the f sound. I was impressed that so many students could give words that begin with this sound before I introduced it! Give those brains a kiss! We also practiced writing F and f.
In the computer lab, we learned about Thanksgiving on our "Let's Find Out" activities. A paper copy is in your child's folder. We completed the activities together on the Smart Board, but feel free to do them with your child as you have time.
