We had a blast this week with our Halloween activities! Thank you to everyone who made it to our concert and for sending in treats!
In our religion class, we learned that we can be like Jack-O-Lanterns and let God's love shine in us. We also started learning about saints, God's special friends who live in Heaven. Next week, we will have many more saint activities.
We practiced many skills this week with our Halloween theme. We painted black bats, used "gator grabbers" to sort spider rings, played Monster Stomp (shapes), and read silly stories, Go Away Big Green Monster and Skeleton Hiccups.
What a fun week, celebrating Halloween! We learned that we can be like Jack-O-Lanterns and let God's love shine in us. One easy way is to smile at others! We also learned that saints are God's special friends that live in Heaven with Him. We can be "saints in training" and love others, too!
We also learned all about the letter G. We are getting really good at sign language and have been reviewing the letters A-G. We "met" St. George, who fought evil and found a few Gg's in our names.
We practiced rhyming words by playing Monster Stomp and numbers by playing Monster Mash. Both were fun games! The morning class made their own pumpkins at www.abcya.com. The afternoon class played letter sound games on our IPads.
We also learned a new nursery rhyme...Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater. The children loved substituting their names into the rhyme! Check out our craft in the hall, too!
