Be sure to tune in to CBS 21 on Monday, August 26th in the morning at 6:40 AM and Monday evening at 6 PM to watch a very special program, "Making a Difference." The program was filmed here at Saint Joseph School and special segments show our teachers and students in the Kindergarten and 2nd grade classrooms. The focus of the program is on the incredible story of the Corbin Family in dealing with Noonan's Syndrome. Mrs. Anna Corbin gives an outstanding interview in which she relates when and how the doctors determined that she and her sons had the medical condition. During her interview, Mrs. Corbin also expresses her high regard for our faculty and for the wonderful care her children receive at Saint Joseph's. We are so pleased that Mrs. Corbin and CBS Channel 21 chose to include our school in their story. Moreover, we are very happy that Jackson (grade 2), Henry (Kindergarten), Mrs. Corbin are doing well, and that they enjoyed the special summer trips awarded to them by the "Make-a-Wish" Foundation.
Our first day of school will be August 21st. Over the past few weeks, our teachers have been busy with preparing their classrooms for this new year with their students. We look forward to
another great year in which we have the opportunity to help our students grow spiritually and academically to their fullest potential.
We are truly blessed at St. Joseph's. Our students do very well thanks to the dedication and expert work of our teachers, the support of our parents, and the hard work and great effort of our students. We also are blessed to have a dynamic Home and School Association. which provides fundraisers and social activities for our school family. The profits from the fundraisers supplement the school budget, help with the update of technology, and provide for wonderful educational resources for the school.
As we begin this new school year, we ask God to bless all students, teachers, and parents, and we thank God for the many blessings we share in our Saint Joseph School family.
Mr. Terrance Golden
