Before the close of each school year, our faculty works together to develop goals for the upcoming school year. As we work with the children this year, we will continue to work toward the goals we set in our plan for Middle States.
Our goals in the areas of Faith Formation, Educational Quality, and Technology are:
We will again offer our after-school care program for the 2014 - 2015 school year. The program is called C.A.R.E.S. - "Children Are Receiving Extended Service." The program runs from the end of the school day until 5:30 PM each day that school is in session. The program does not operate when school is not in session or on early dismissal days.
Activities include outdoor play, indoor play, supervised time for homework, computer activity time, and daily snack.
Children are accepted into the program on a pre-registration basis. If you plan to use this service, you must pre-register and pay the $10. registration fee. Parents can register their children on a fixed schedule for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. Participation on a day-to-day basis or for emergencies is also accepted.
Ms. Carolyn Keffer, our librarian, will be the director for the C.A.R.E.S. Program.
We welcome Mrs. Lottie Wilder to our Saint Joseph School faculty!
Mrs. Wilder will be our 3rd grade teacher. She has five years of teaching experience and previously taught at Sacred Heart School, Hanover. Mrs. Wilder graduated from York College with a Bachelor of Science Degree and currently is working on a Master's Degree in Elementary Education at Mount Saint Mary's University.
