Throughout the week, students talked about their Halloween costumes, "trick-or-treat", and the fun they would have at the Fall Fest! Parents and their children looked forward to a dinner of BONEYARD BARBEQUE'S delicious pit beef, GENOVA'S tasty pizza, mac and cheese, cole slaw, fruit salad, and a great variety of wonderful desserts. They just couldn't wait for our Fall Fest!
Then, on Friday, our school families came together for our Fall celebration. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food. The children provided an awesome costume parade, and prizes were awarded for the scariest, funniest, most creative, and the best group. Our judges -Monsignor Lyons, Father Kelly, and Mrs. McMaster - did a fine job of choosing a super participant as the winner in each category.
After the parade, the students danced to the music provided by our DJ. They danced to fun songs, such as YMCA and the Hokey Pokey, as well as to tunes by today's celebrities. Next, our students participated in their favorite event, "Trick-or-Treat." Students walked along the spooky path in the decorated hallways of the parish center while our 8th grade students sat at stations along the path giving treats to the younger students. Students were delighted with their "bags of treats."
The Fall Fest was truly great fun for everyone who attended!
We thank Mrs. Amy Miller, Mrs. Micki Schneider, Mrs. Mary Wells, and Mrs. Betsy Ernst for their dynamic work in planning and coordinating this awesome event for our school family. We also thank all the volunteers who so generously donated their time and talents to help.
Special thanks goes to BONEYARD BARBEQUE and GENOVA'S PIZZA for their very generous donations to our Fall Fest Event.
