Eventually we'll do more collaboration between the students and their projects.
We will begin celebrating Hispanic Heritage month (September 15 - October 15) with a couple of technology projects. Grade 7 students had to select a famous Hispanic personality. Then, going to ToonDoo.com, create a cartoon character that best resembles that person, and in the cartoon frames present 8 facts about them. These will be printed in October.
This way we can all learn a little about the contributions. Hispanics and Latinos have made.
Fifth grade students have been researching sharks. They have adopted one and are watching where it is swimming, learning about the type of shark it is and the type of research that is going on. They are presenting getting ready to publish their findings for everyone to read.
