These pictures are from our Jump Rope for Heart "pie event". It was super fun! Way to go to Savannah for raising so much money for such a great cause! She told me I could pie her in the face if I wanted. Hehe.... (If you have a good memory, she also was our top fundraiser in K and gave me a haircut! ~10" came off.  Don't worry - she did a great job!) We all worked so hard to be heart heroes and our school raised just shy of $14,000!

Hi There, 

Whew - what a week! We had so much fun with all the themed days and saw some stellar outfits! I've posted a lot of pictures of our fashion choices and activities on the 5th grade page. Be sure to check them out! What enthusiasm! 

I believe I forgot to mention in my Wednesday message that we had an awesome Spelling Bee in 5th grade! Our top 3 finalists headed to the school finals (date TBD) are Luca, Peyton, and Audrey. Congratulations on all of your hard work to prepare. We are cheering for you!

On Thursday, we had 5th grade Jeopardy! Students chose team names and off we went. It was a lot of fun, but our final score was "The Punxsutawney Phils" with 6,800, the "Golden Phils" with 5,600, and the "Hog Riders" with 0. (The HR gambled and went all-in on a daily double at the end of the game, but it didn't work out for them:(  )

We also had a chance to receive letters from our DCHS penpals. We typed letters in response that I'll be delivering tonight when I go to the girls basketball game. We look forward to hearing back soon. 

I will NOT be sending home a test packet today. I have last week's spelling test, the SS quiz and about 1/2 of the book reports graded, so I'll just put them in the packet next week. I'll send it home on Wednesday, to be due Friday. Grades have otherwise been updated. Our 2nd trimester ends on 2/28.
